ABB Power Protection needed to produce a series of videos to promote their new UPS (uninterruptible power supply) the Conceptpower DPA 500. They called upon Sprocket Media Works for the project. Sprocket provided concept development, scripting, 2D/3D animation, location production, editing and finishing. Starting with a stack of technical documents and a few conversations with the client experts and we were off and running. It can be a challenge to package this amount of technical specifications and features in one video, so we split up the information into 4 subject-specific videos, 4 “expert testimonial videos”and a short trailer video. This allowed the client to tailor the initial presentation to each client and followup with additional media. The videos consist of testimonials from the experts, 3D animation, stock footage and newly acquired footage shot with the Sony FS7.
